1.1 Setting Service Providers & Subscribers 

Use the following instructions to set up “service providers” and “subscribers”:

Click on Settings in the top tool bar, and select service providers. To add a new service provider, select the Add Button. To edit a service provider, select the Edit Button and a service provider and the Data Window will appear and fill in the following fields.

Select Tab The SNPP Access Tab allows you to configure settings so you can send messages through an SNPP Gateway.

1.3 WCTP Paging

2-Way Select the option 2-way.
Provider Name TeleMessage WCTP
Check Internet WCTP
Select Tab The WCTP Access Tab allows you to configure settings so you can send messages through a WCTP Gateway.

Click on Settings in the top tool bar, and select subscribers. To add a new subscriber, select the Add Button. To edit a subscriber, select the Edit Button, and the Data Window will appear. Fill in the following fields: 

Name This is the subscriber’s name. This name will be displayed in all the Subscriber listings for identification purposes. 
PIN 1 xxx-xxx-xxxx (11 digit number of the subscriber)
Priv Select the TeleMessage carrier from the drop down list. This is the Paging Network you wish to access. You will be able to select this from a drop down menu. The provider must have been added already to the provider list.Once the above information has been entered, select OK to add the new subscriber to your list or complete editing the subscriber in your list. 

1.4 TAP

Got to Settings > Service Providers > Add to get to this screen.

Add Provider Name

Select ‘TAP Modem’

Press ‘TAP Modem Access’ Tab

Press ‘Provider Modem Settings’.

General Tab:

Advanced Tab:

Press OK to complete.

Go to Settings > Subscribers > Add

Add Name for Destination Device and Click ‘Add Dest.’ Button:

Add Destination Name.

PIN (10-digit number for destination mobile).

Select Provider you created above from drop-down menu.

Click OK.

To send message type message and select destination from subscriber list.

Press the Send button:

Use the following instructions to set up the “carriers” and “recipients”.

2.1 Setting Up Carriers 

Click on Carrier in the top tool bar, and you’ll be prompt to either add, edit, delete or use the wizard to add a carrier. Select Add and or edit the existing Sprint/Nextel settings and use the information below to complete the drop down box.

2.5 Setting Up Recipients

Click on Tools > Settings > General.

Sender’s Name: User’s Account ID 

Click on Recipient in the top tool bar, and you’ll be prompt to either add, edit, delete or use the wizard
to add a recipient. Select Add and use the information below to complete the drop down box.

Full Name Recipient Name
Type Normal
Carrier TeleMessage (SNPP or WCTP. Choose the carrier you previously added or edited.) 
ID/PIN (11 digit phone number of the recipient)

Use the following instructions to set up the “messaging service” and “receivers”:

From the Listing of Messaging Services screen you can add a new service or edit an existing service. To add a new service, click on the New button. To edit an existing service, select the messaging service you wish to edit and then click on the Edit button. The Messaging Service Setup screen will open.

The Wireless Receiver Setup screen allows you to enter a new receiver’s information or edit
the settings for an existing wireless receiver.

From this screen you can add or edit a wireless receiver’s settings, including the name of the person carrying the wireless receiver, the wireless receiver’s phone or PIN number, and the wireless messaging service used by the wireless receiver. You can also specify if wireless receiver messages sent to the wireless receiver will be logged or not.

Click new and use the information below to complete the setup screen. Click OK to save the information.

To access the Edit Wireless receiver screen, select “Receivers…” from the Edit menu or click on the Receivers button in the toolbar to display the Wireless Receivers Setup screen.

Edit the information and click OK to save the information.

Name of person carrying the receiver: Name
Receiver ID Number (11 digit phone number)

3.3 TAP

Set a name for the TAP Connection _TAP
Max Message Length 160
