When sending Voice and Fax messages, you will need to change the device type.

The “DEVICE_TYPE” entry can be any of several predefined attribute values, as follows:

 • HomeNumber – message will be sent as a voice call, and text will be read out using a text-to-speech engine

• BusinessNumber – message will be sent as a voice call, and text will be read out using a text-to-speech engine

• BusinessFax – message will be sent as a voice call, and text will be read out using a text-to-speech engine

• MobileNumber – message will be sent as a voice call, and text will be read out using a text-to-speech engine

• SMS – message will be sent out as an SMS to the mobile device, or as an IP Push Notification to an App on the mobile device (depends on the SMS account settings in the web interface of the sender)

• EmailAddress – message will be sent as an email message

For Sending Faxes:

<DEVICE_INFORMATION>
<DEVICE_TYPE DEVICE_TYPE="BusinessFax"/>
<DEVICE_VALUE>16173190666</DEVICE_VALUE>
</DEVICE_INFORMATION>

For Sending Voice Call:

<DEVICE_INFORMATION>
<DEVICE_TYPE DEVICE_TYPE="HomeNumber"/>
<DEVICE_VALUE>16173190666</DEVICE_VALUE>
</DEVICE_INFORMATION>

It is important to remember that the XML structure should be the same as in Simple Text Messages However the device should change:

DEVICE_TYPE indicates the device type in which the message will be sent.
